Doom metal band Galadriel* comes from Slovakia, a small land which lies in the heart of Europe. History of the band started in the summer '95 when Dodo Datel (bass/vocals), Voloda Zadrapa (guitars) and Dr Victor (drums), impressed by the combination of melodies, melancholy and aggression in the metal music, founded a band following these principles. Through next years, many members entered and left the band with more or less influence on its music, but in spite of all changes and problems, Galadriel continued to play and release albums. We were lucky enough and succeed in our efforts to find a reasonable label which would promote our music. The man who took us under his protective wings was Steve Green with his independent label Unknown Territory. With a lack of finances but tons of courage, he started to release our albums regularly. "Empire Of Emptiness" came out in September '97, then "The Mirror Of Ages" in February '99. New material called "Oblivion" is due to release in February 2000
